[Tournaments] Organizer - Tournament Preparation

To organize a tournament, you must first be identified as a tournament organizer on the site. To do this you can go to the Become a Tournament Organizer page
Then, all you have to do is go to the tournament creation page and configure yours. Once created, you will then be returned to the tournament page.


For information, when it is created, the tournament is not public, which means that it does not appear in the list of tournaments, and registrations are closed. It will be up to you to open them and make them public when you want.

You should know that there are 5 types of tournaments on the site. Here is a summary table:
Tournament Type Description
Solo This is the most represented type of tournament and above all the most classic where the player comes with 1 or more armies and will play all his games against X of other players, depending on the number of rounds
Solo in Escalation In this type of tournament, each player comes with 1 army list, available in several point formats. As the rounds progress, it will play the different formats from 1 to X, depending on the number of formats requested.
Team 2 vs 2 Tournament where the 2 players of a team play the same army list, which will be composed of 2 regiments, 1 with the general and 1 other with the lieutenant. This type of tournament is sometimes called a Doubles Tournament. The 2 players therefore have a common ranking in this type of tournament.
Team 2 vs 2 Escalation Just like the escalation version of the solo tournaments, this is simply a 2 vs 2 tournament where each team will have to bring several formats of an army list. and once again, the 2 players therefore have a common ranking in this type of tournament.
Team (WTC or Nation Cup type)

This is a team tournament, most often with a matching phase. Each player from a team will meet one of the players from the opposing team. The team's number of points is calculated by accumulating the number of points made by each player on the team.

I reassure you, this is a direct link between your paypal and the site. that is, there is no action on the site from or to your PayPal account.

ThePaypal.Me link (which you can configure here: Paypal.me), will simply allow the site to directly put a payment link for players on your tournament page, if you have configured it. a price at agrave; your tournament.

The player will then have direct access to PayPal, to send you their payment. It is therefore above all a solution which always goes in the same direction as all the others offered on the site: making it easier for you to manage your tournaments.

Each time a player pre-registers for the game, your tournament, it will appear in the registered list. Here's how to read this display:

  1. Registration badge : this allows you to see at a glance whether the user has validated their registration. definitively its registration or not (Yellow, at least one element is missing between the list and the payment, green, the registration is validated.).
  2. Payment validation button: Once you have received the payment, all you have to do is: validate the payment by pressing the button "YES". This will trigger an email to you. the user to inform them of the successful receipt of their payment.
  3. List validation button: This button is activated. update automatically when you validate the list(s) of users, but here it allows you to have a direct view of this.
  4. Presence button: This button will allow you to make the call on the day of the tournament to validate which players are present. ;is at; From this list there; that the rounds and the ranking will be calculated.
  5. Action button: Here you have the possibility to to cancel the registration of a participant.

In your tournament management page, you will find a Contact Players tab, which will give you access to tournaments. 4 forms to contact players according to different criteria:

  1. Message for pre-registered people who have not validated their registration. their payment : For example to remind them, a few weeks before the tournament, that without this, their registration is not validated.
  2. Message for pre-registered people who have not had their lists validated:  To remind them, a few weeks before the tournament, of the deadline for sending lists for example.
  3. Message for all pre-registered and registered: if ever, for example, you would like to pass on new information about the tournament.
  4. Message for registrants: for example to give information on where to go park, where to eat, etc

If you ever want to add bonuses to your tournament (painting points for example) or penalty points (latecomers will know what I'm talking about), you can, before or after the tournament, add bonus points. bonus Malus. All this happens in the Bonus Points (1)

Important note: Whether fluff points or bonus/penalty points, they will only be taken into account for the final ranking of the tournament. Thus, the generation of rounds (if you have chosen automatic generation) will not be impacted by this data.
