Available Tournament Types

This page summarizes all the tournament configuration options available on the site and explains the different settings. It is the result of extensive work with organizers from multiple countries to cover all the needs and formats available for MESBG.

Solo (Classic or Escalation)

The classic format for running a Solo tournament with numerous options to accommodate a wide range of rulespacks:
  • Points escalation
  • Good vs Evil
  • One or multiple lists per player
  • And many more options

Doubles (2 vs 2 - Classic or Escalation)

The format for running a popular Doubles tournament following the recommendations of the Matched Play Guide, with a few options available to accommodate a wide range of rulespacks:
  • Points escalation
  • Good vs Evil
  • One or multiple lists per player
  • And many more options

Solo-Team (Ardacon Type)

The format inspired by Ardacon: Players compete as in Solo but can optionally form teams. Players within a team share Unique Heroes but are guaranteed not to face each other. Both Solo and Team rankings are provided.

A strictly Ardacon-based format. Recommended primarily for large tournaments (at least 50 players).

Team
WTC Format

The format for creating tournaments with team matches involving multiple players. This allows you to simulate the WTC format but also adapt to other rules packs thanks to its options (match pairing and fake list management, choice of the number of players per team, etc.).

Flexible format. Final ranking both Solo and by team.

Team
Nations Cup Format

The format inspired by the highly competitive Nations Cup: Teams of 6 players compete with 3 Good lists, 3 Evil lists, and a distribution of Unique Heroes within the team.

Final rankings include Solo Good, Solo Evil, and Team rankings. A format strictly based on the event, not adaptable.
