First of all, it's important to remember that all players must be present, because only players who are present will be taken into account when generating the rounds. If a player is not present but you still want to start the rounds, you will get an alert message. Once launched, the absent player will no longer be able to join the tournament.
Once the tournament has started, regardless of your choice of round configuration, the system will create all the matches, which will be pre-filled if the entire tournament is a Swiss round, and empty if the first round is forced.
For the random selection, you have the option of re-drawing (1) the first round if it doesn't suit you, or even on future rounds, if you adjust the results after drawing the round. In all cases, you can also adjust the matches by hand.
Once the matches have been defined, you can start distributing the tables using the Distribution button (2). If the selector does not have a table number, this means that the system has not managed to find a solution for the players to play on a table that is unknown to them. It will therefore be up to you to make the choice, using the indication in the small (i) at the end of the match line.
Then, if necessary, you can select the scenario (3). This is optional, if you have your own scenario, for example.
Finally, you can publish the round (4) so that players can access it on the site.
Once the matches in the round have finished, there are 2 ways of retrieving the results: enter them yourself or retrieve the results entered by the players.
1 - Retrieve results entered by players
At the bottom of the matches form, you'll find a Retrieve results entered by players button (1).
This will reload the page with the results entered by the players. There will then be 3 possibilities:
2. Put the results yourself.
If players do not use the site on the day of the tournament, they will have to come and see you to give you their results, which you will then have to enter in the form.
Please note: to be saved, you must click on the Save results button (2). This will save the results but will not do anything else (the round will not be published, nor will the next round be generated).
A ce moment là, rien n'est visible pour les joueurs sur le site. seul vous pouvez voir les résultats (sauf les joueurs qui voient leur propre résultat, mais pas celui des autres matches).
Once all the results have been entered, the next step is to publish them. To do this, once you are sure of the results you have entered, you can simply click on the button to Publish the results of the previous round, then generate the next round (1).
Depending on the configuration of your tournament, this will update not only the results, which will then be visible to all site users, but also the temporary rankings.
Also depending on your configuration, it will generate the next round according to the ranking or set up the match selection form.
When a match is highlighted in red (1), it means that the match has already taken place. The red dot (2) means that the player is present in 2 matches in the same round.
When you want to save the results of the last round, you will see a message telling you that the last round has been played and that this action will make the results available (not the rankings).
Then all you have to do is enter your bonus/malus points, if you have any in your tournament, and if you haven't done so before.
All you have to do then is click on Save and publish the ranking to make it public. What's more, if your tournament counts towards the French championship, the championship ranking points will be awarded at that point.
