Special Rule(s)

An Infantry model with this special rule may move through woods and forests that are classified as difficult terrain as if they are open ground. Note that this doesn’t mean they can automatically climb terrain in those areas, nor move through tree trunks or jump fallen Obstacles.

Should a model wish to Charge this model, it must first take a Courage test before it moves. If the test is passed, the model may Charge as normal. If the test is failed, the model does not Charge and may not move at all this turn.

A model with this special rule may re-roll a single D6 when making a Duel roll. Additionally, they may re-roll a single D6 when rolling To Wound.

Elrond, Limite d'Arcs.description

Before the game begins, roll a D6 and make a note of the result - these are Elrond’s Foresight points for the battle. During the Priority phase, after the dice has been rolled, so long as he is alive and on the battlefield, Elrond may chose to expend these Foresight points to alter the controlling player’s dice roll. For each Foresight point expended, Elrond may alter the dice score by either +1or -1, to a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 6.

Magical Power(s)

Harnessing the mighty power of nature, the caster summons forth bubbling, surging waters to spring from the ground and sweep their enemies from their feet. Those who venture too close to a river or pond will feel the full force of this power as they are buffeted by the raging cun-ents the caster summons.
This power targets al l enemy models within range. All enemy models within 3" of the caster are knocked Prone. Cavalry models are automatically treated as having suffered a Knocked Flying result on the Thrown Rider table - both rider and mount are then knocked Prone. All affected models additionally suffer one Strength 2 hit, or one Strength 8 hit if they are in a stream, river or other similar water terrain feature.

This power targets a single friendly model within range. The target immediately regains a single Wound lost earlier in the battle. If the target is a Cavalry model, the caster must choose whether the rider or the mount rega ins the Wound.

Whilst mounted, an Expert Rider may re-roll the dice when making Jump, Swim and Thrown Rider tests.

While mounted, a model carrying both a shield and a bow will still receive the +1 Defence bonus for being armed with a shield. If the model dismounts, they will lose this bonus.

Additionally, an Expert Rider can pick up Light Objects without having to dismount.

Option(s)

A banner has a 3" area of effect that extends out from the model carrying the banner (although some special banners may have a larger range). If a Fight has one or more friendly models, including Supporting models, within the area of effect of one or more friendly banners, then the Fight will be affected by the banner. If a Fight is affected by a banner, then a single friendly model in that Fight may re-roll a single 06 in its Duel roll to see who wins the Fight. This re-roll can be made after your opponent has rolled their own dice to see who wins, but must be made before any Might points are spent to adjust scores.
It makes perfect sense that a banner must be flying in order for its bearer’s allies to gain the benefits of it being near, and as such a banner bearer must be standing for the effects of a banner to count. Models cannot benefit from the effects of a banner if the bearer is Prone, including any special rules associated with that banner if applicable. This includes Hero models that have a special rule that says they ’count as a banner’. However, Hero models that have a special rule that says that friendly models within a certain range count as in range of a banner can still use this if they are Prone.
It is possible that one player may re-roll a dice and find themselves winning the Fight - in which case their opponent may wish to use a banner of their own. Remember, a banner only provides one re-roll to each Duel roll. If a model is in range of multiple banners, they may only benefit from one of them.
Any model carrying a banner is encumbered by its weight, and suffers a -1 penalty to their Duel rolls.
A Warrior model carrying a banner who is slain or flees the battlefield may pass it on to a friendly Warrior model (but not to a Hero model) who is in base contact, not Prone, and is not Engaged in a Fight. Swap the models over if they are the same type of Warrior, or find a suitable banner-carrying substitute in your collection. Some common sense is required when deciding which models can carry a banner; the likes of Bats, Wargs or Spiders, for example, cannot hold a banner due to their lack of hands!

Special Rule(s)

If this model kills an enemy Hero model in a Fight, they immediately regain a single point of Might spent earlier in the battle.

If your force contains Gil-galad, then every alliance will be Impossible Allies with the following exceptions: Númenor will still be Historical Allies, and Lothlórien, Fangorn, and the Misty Mountains will still be Convenient Allies.

If your force contains Gil-galad and either Arwen, Elladan & Elrohir, Lindir or Bilbo, then it will automatically lose its Army Bonus. Additionally, the force will automatically be Impossible Allies with every other army list regardless of what the alliance would normally be.

If your army includes Gil-galad, High King of the Elves, thenyoumay upgrade any number of High Elf Warriors in his warbandto become King’s Guard for a cost of +1 point per model. King’sGuard have a Fight value of 6/3+.

Gil-galad’s Stand Fast! is 12" rather than 6". Additionally, friendly Elf Hero models may use Gil-galad’s Stand Fast!
