Rules Pack:
Scoring: Major/Minor system
Table Size: 4’x4’. (If using shorter mats, deduct 2” from each deployment zone.)
Terrain: Each table will feature approximately 33% MESBG-themed terrain.
Terrain Features may include, but are not limited to:
Enterable buildings for infantry and cavalry
Woodland and water features
Ruins and hills
Cities and villages
Other terrain inspired by Tolkien’s universe
Fundamentals:
Clearly explain any special rules your opponent should know when presenting your army list.
Provide a printout of your special rules for your opponent to see.
Declare intent when moving or positioning models (e.g. “I’m staying out of charge range”) to ensure transparency.
Be mindful that models can move if players lean on the table — this matters for Shieldwall, spear support, and similar rules.
Agree on terrain features before starting the game. If you disagree, call a TO (Tournament Organizer) for a final ruling.
Rolling the wrong number of dice: Remove dice equal to the number rolled in error, prioritizing highest results first.
Always check the Rulebook and FAQs before calling a TO for a ruling.
If a disagreement arises, call a TO immediately and continue playing once a ruling is made. The TO’s decision is final.
Cheating (intentional or accidental) will result in an instant loss. Make sure you understand your army’s rules thoroughly. If in doubt, ask a TO before your game or submit questions in advance.
Dice rolling: Use dice that are easy to read. Agree with your opponent beforehand on how to handle “cocked” dice.
If your dice use symbols on 1s or 6s, make sure to inform your opponent before the game begins.
