Résumé du Scénario

Les joueurs s’affrontent pour le contrôle de cinq objectifs dispersés sur le champ de bataille.

Armées

Les joueurs choisissent leur armée, qui doit faire le même nombre de points que celle de l'adversaire, selon les règles des pages précédentes.

Terrain et Décors

Préparez la table de jeu comme demandé. Ensuite, placez cinq Marqueurs d’Objectif sur le champ de bataille; l’un est automatiquement placé au centre de la table. Pour placer les autres Objectifs, les deux joueurs lancent un D6. Le joueur ayant obtenu le meilleur résultat place un Objectif n’importe où sur le champ de bataille, à plus de 12’’ de l’Objectif existant et à plus de 6’’ de tout bord de table. Son adversaire place ensuite un troisième Objectif, à plus de 12’’ des Objectifs existants et à plus de 6’’ de tout bord de table. Les joueurs alternent ensuite pour placer les deux Objectifs restants, selon les mêmes restrictions mentionnées précédemment.

Déploiement

Les deux joueurs lancent un D6 – le joueur avec le meilleur résultat choisit l’une des Zones de Déploiement. Il choisit ensuite une Troupe de son Armée et la déploie entièrement à moins de 24’’ de son bord de table. Les figurines doivent être déployées à moins de 6’’ du Capitaine de leur Troupe.
Une fois cela fait, le joueur adverse choisit l’une de ses Troupes et la déploie entièrement à moins de 24’’ de son bord de table, comme décrit précédemment. Les joueurs alternent ensuite jusqu’à ce que toutes leurs Troupes aient été déployées.

Première Initiative

Lancez 1D6, le joueur avec le plus grand chiffre commence. En cas d'égalité, relancez les dés.

Objectifs

La partie dure jusqu’à la fin d’un Tour où l’une des deux Armées a été mise en Déroute (réduite à 25 % ou moins de son effectif de départ). À ce moment, le joueur qui a marqué le plus de Points de Victoire remporte la partie. Si les deux joueurs ont obtenu le même nombre de Points de Victoire, la partie se conclut sur une égalité.

Points de Victoire

Pour chaque Marqueur d’Objectif, vous recevez 1 Point de Victoire si vous avez davantage de figurines que votre adversaire à moins de 3’’ du Marqueur. Si vous avez au moins deux fois plus de figurines que votre adversaire à moins de 3’’, vous recevez à la place 2 Points de Victoire. Si vous êtes le seul joueur à avoir des figurines à moins de 3’’, vous recevez à la place 3 Points de Victoire.
Vous recevez 1 Point de Victoire si le Général ennemi a été Blessé durant la partie. Si le Général ennemi a été retiré comme Perte, vous recevez 2 points de Victoire à la place.
Vous recevez 1 Point de Victoire si l’Armée adverse est Démoralisée à la fin de la partie. Si l’Armée adverse est Démoralisée et que la vôtre ne l’est pas, vous recevez 3 points de Victoire à la place.

Both players roll a D6 – the player with the highest result chooses one of the deployment zones. They then select a Warband in their Army to deploy wholly within 12" of their board edge. Models must be deployed within 6" of the Captain of their Warband.

When this has been done, the opposing player chooses one of their Warbands and deploys it wholly within 12" of their board edge as described above. Players then alternate until all Warbands have been placed.

Objectifs

Once one Army has been Broken, the game might suddenly end. At the end of each turn after this condition has been met, roll a D6. On a 1-2, the game ends – otherwise, the battle continues for another turn.

At the end of the game, the player who has scored the most Victory Points wins the game. If both players have the same number of Victory Points, the game is a draw.

Points de Victoire

At the start of the game, secretly note down one of your own Hero models – this may not be your General unless you only have one Hero. You score 1 Victory Point if the nominated Hero is still alive at the end of the game. If the nominated Hero is still alive and has suffered no Wounds, you instead score 3 Victory Points. If the nominated Hero is still alive and has suffered no Wounds, and spent no Fate Points, you instead score 5 Victory Points.

At the start of the game, secretly note down one of your opponent’s Hero models – this may not be your opponent’s General unless they only have one Hero. You score 1 Victory Point for causing one or more Wounds on the nominated Hero. Wounds prevented by a successful Fate roll do not count. If the nominated Hero has been removed as a casualty, you instead score 3 Victory Points. If the nominated Hero has been removed as a casualty as a result of one of your models wounding them in Combat, you instead score 5 Victory Points.

At the start of the game secretly note down a single terrain piece wholly within your opponent’s half of the board. You score 1 Victory Point if at the end of the game you have more models than your opponent on or in base contact with your chosen terrain piece. If at the end of the game, you have at least two models and twice as many as your opponent on or in base contact with your chosen terrain piece, you instead score 3 Victory Points. If your opponent has no models on or in base contact with your chosen terrain piece and you have at least two, you instead score 5 Victory Points.

You score 1 Victory Point if the enemy General was wounded during the game. If the enemy General was removed as a casualty, you instead score 2 Victory Points.

You score 1 Victory Point if the enemy Army is Broken at the end of the game. If the enemy Army is Broken and your Army is not, you instead score 3 Victory Points.

Destroy your opponent’s supplies whilst protecting your own.

Place three Objective Markers in each player’s deployment zone so that the objectives are equidistant along the edge of each player’s deployment zone, with one in the centre. The first is placed 12" from the centre of the player’s board edge. The others are then placed halfway between the central objective and the board edges on either side, so that all three objectives are equidistant along the edge of one player’s deployment zone.

The game lasts until the end of a turn in which one Army has been reduced to a quarter (25%) of its starting number of models or below, at which point the player who has scored the most Victory Points wins the game. If both players have the same number of Victory Points, the game is a draw.

You score 1 Victory Point for each enemy Supply Marker that has not been destroyed, but you have more models within 3" than your opponent. If you have destroyed more Supply Markers than your opponent, you score 1 Victory Point.

You score 1 Victory Point if the enemy General was wounded during the game. If the enemy General was removed as a casualty, you instead score 3 Victory Points.

You score 1 Victory Point if the enemy Army is Broken at the end of the game. If the enemy Army is Broken and your Army is not, you instead score 3 Victory Points.

You score 2 Victory Points if your opponent has no banners remaining at the end of the game (if they didn’t have a banner to start with, you automatically score this).

You score 1 Victory Point if you have at least one banner remaining at the end of the game. If you have more banners remaining than your opponent, then you instead score 2 Victory Points.

Règles spéciales

Supply Markers :

The Objective Markers represent a series of supplies that both sides are trying to destroy. To destroy an enemy Supply Marker, a model must be standing and in base contact with the marker during the End Phase of a turn having not Cast any Magical Powers, used a Missile Weapon, been Engaged in Combat, Supported a Combat, been rendered unable to Move any further that turn due to a special rule or result of a test (such as a Thrown Rider Test) or been under the effects of an enemy Magical Power that turn. Once a Supply Marker has been destroyed, remove it from play.

At the battle’s start, the Armies are yet to arrive – models are not deployed at the start of the game. Both players roll a D6. The player with the highest result chooses one of the long table edges to be their board edge – the opposing player has the opposite board edge as their board edge (see Special Rules later).

Objectifs

The game lasts until the end of a turn in which one Army has been reduced to a quarter (25%) of its starting number of models, or below, at which point the player that has scored the most Victory Points wins the game. If both players have the same number of Victory Points, the game is a draw.

Models that have escaped the board count as being on the board for the purpose of determining if an Army is Broken or reduced to 25%.

Points de Victoire

You score 4 Victory Points if more of your models have escaped the battlefield via your opponent’s board edge than vice versa. If at least two of your models and twice as many models than your opponent have escaped the board, then you instead score 8 Victory Points. If at least three of your models, and three times as many models than your opponent have escaped the board, then you instead score 12 Victory Points.

You score 1 Victory Point for each of your Hero models that escapes the board, to a maximum of 3 Victory Points.

You score 1 Victory Point if the enemy General was wounded during the game. If the enemy General was removed as a casualty, you instead score 2 Victory Points.

You score 1 Victory Point if the enemy Army is Broken at the end of the game. If the enemy Army is Broken and your Army is not, you instead score 3 Victory Points

Règles spéciales

Reinforcements :

At the end of your Activation Phase, roll a D6 for each of your Warbands that are not on the battlefield and consult the chart below (the Warband’s Captain can use Might to improve the roll). Models enter the board via the rules for Reinforcements.

Roll for each Warband separately, Activate the models in the Warband, then roll for the next. Warbands yet to arrive count as being on the battlefield for determining if your Army is Broken. Warbands that have still not arrived by the start of turn 4 will automatically arrive on turn 4.

1-3 : The Warband does not arrive, but receives +1 to this dice roll next turn. This is cumulative, so will arrive on a 3+ on turn 2, a 2+ on turn 3, and automatically on turn 4.
4-6 : The controlling player chooses a point on their board edge at least 6" from a corner – the Warband arrives from this point via the rules for Reinforcements.

Reinforcements :

1-3 : The Warband does not arrive, but receives +1 to this dice roll next turn. This is cumulative, so will arrive on a 3+ on turn 2, a 2+ on turn 3, and automatically on turn 4.
4-6 : The controlling player chooses a point on their board edge at least 6" from a corner – the Warband arrives from this point via the rules for Reinforcements.

Résumé du Scénario

La victoire revient à la force capable d’écraser l’ennemi et de tuer le Général adverse.

Armées

Les joueurs choisissent leur armée, qui doit faire le même nombre de points que celle de l'adversaire, selon les règles des pages précédentes.

Terrain et Décors

La section Terrain et Décors de chaque Scénario vous indiquera tout élément notable du champ de bataille, comme un décor important ou le placement des Marqueurs d’Objectifs. Le reste du champ de bataille vous appartient, libre à vous de créer des champs de bataille dans le thème de divers lieux de la Terre du Milieu. Nous vous recommandons un minimum de 33 % de décors sur la table, afin de générer des situations plus intéressantes.
La méthode la plus rapide et efficace pour mettre en place le champ de bataille est de faire créer la table à un joueur, et que l’autre remporte automatiquement le jet pour décider du côté. Sinon, vous et votre adversaire pouvez placer chacun votre tour des décors (ces derniers peuvent être des arbres, des murs ou des forêts et bâtiments entiers), jusqu’à ce que vous soyez satisfaits de la quantité de décors.
Quelle que soit la méthode pour laquelle vous optez, essayez de faire en sorte que le champ de bataille évoque l’imagerie de la Terre du Milieu, tout en proposant des situations intéressantes et des défis pour les deux joueurs.

Déploiement

Les deux joueurs lancent un D6 – le joueur avec le meilleur résultat choisit l’une des Zones de Déploiement. Il choisit ensuite une Troupe de son Armée et la déploie entièrement à moins de 12’’ de son bord de table. Les figurines doivent être déployées à moins de 6’’ du Capitaine de leur Troupe.
Une fois cela fait, le joueur adverse choisit l’une de ses Troupes et la déploie entièrement à moins de 12’’ de son bord de table, comme décrit précédemment. Les joueurs alternent ensuite jusqu’à ce que toutes les Troupes aient été déployées.

Première Initiative

Lancez 1D6, le joueur avec le plus grand chiffre commence. En cas d'égalité, relancez les dés.

Objectifs

La partie dure jusqu’à la fin d’un Tour où l’une des deux Armées a été mise en Déroute (réduite à 25 % ou moins de son effectif de départ). À ce moment, le joueur qui a marqué le plus de Points de Victoire remporte la partie. Si les deux joueurs ont obtenu le même nombre de Points de Victoire, la partie se conclut sur une égalité.

Points de Victoire

Vous recevez 1 Point de Victoire si le Général ennemi a été Blessé durant la partie. Si le Général ennemi a été Blessé et qu’il ne lui reste plus que 1 Point de Vie, vous recevez alors 3 Points de Victoire. Si le Général ennemi a été retiré comme Perte, vous recevez 5 Points de Victoire à la place.
Vous recevez 3 Points de Victoire si l’Armée adverse est Démoralisée à la fin de la partie. Si l’Armée adverse est Démoralisée et que la vôtre ne l’est pas, vous recevez 5 points de Victoire à la place.
Vous recevez 2 Points de Victoire s’il ne reste plus de Bannière à votre adversaire à la fin de la partie (s’il n’avait pas de Bannière initialement, vous recevez automatiquement ces Points).
Vous recevez 1 Point de Victoire s’il vous reste au moins une Bannière à la fin de la partie. S’il vous reste plus de Bannières que votre adversaire, vous recevez 2 Points de Victoire à la place.
Vous recevez 3 Points de Victoire si l’Armée ennemie a été mise en Déroute (réduite à 25 % de ses figurines de départ) à la fin de la partie.
Vous recevez 1 Point de Victoire pour chaque figurine de Héros ennemie qui a été retirée comme Perte, jusqu’à un maximum de 3 Points de Victoire.

Prenez le contrôle du centre du champ de bataille, quoiqu’il en coûte.

Déploiement

Au début de la bataille, les armées ne sont pas encore arrivées – les figurines ne sont pas déployées au début de la partie, mais entreront au fur et à mesure de l’avancée du jeu (voir les Règles Spéciales plus loin).

Première Initiative

Lancez 1D6, le joueur avec le plus grand chiffre commence. En cas d'égalité, relancez les dés.

Objectifs

Dès que l’une des Armées est Démoralisée, la partie peut subitement s’arrêter. Dès lors que cette condition a été remplie, à la fin de chaque Tour, lancez un D6. Sur un résultat de 1-2, la partie se termine – sinon, la bataille se poursuit pour un nouveau Tour.
À la fin de la partie, le joueur qui a marqué le plus de Points de Victoire remporte la partie. Si les deux joueurs ont obtenu le même nombre de Points de Victoire, la partie se conclut sur une égalité.

Points de Victoire

Vous recevez 4 Points de Victoire si vous avez plus de figurines que votre adversaire à moins de 6’’ de l’Objectif. Si vous avez deux fois plus de figurines que votre adversaire à moins de 6’’ de l’Objectif, vous recevez alors 8 Points de Victoire à la place. Si vous avez trois fois plus de figurines que votre adversaire à moins de 6’’ de l’Objectif, ou que vous êtes le seul joueur à avoir des figurines à moins de 6’’ de l’Objectif, vous recevez alors 12 Points de Victoire à la place.
Vous recevez 1 Point de Victoire si le Général ennemi a été Blessé durant la partie. Si le Général ennemi a été retiré comme perte, vous recevez 3 Points de Victoire à la place.

Règles spéciales

Maelstrom of Battle :

à la fin de votre phase de mouvement, lancez 1D6 pour chacune de vos troupes qui n’est pas encore déployée (le capitaine de la troupe peut utiliser des points de puissance pour modifier le résultat d’un dé, au supérieur ou à l’inférieur). Les figurines ne peuvent pas charger le tour où elles sont déployées, mais peuvent agir normalement. Les figurines qui ne sont pas encore déployées comptent comme étant sur le champ de bataille pour déterminer si une armée est démoralisée ou non.
